Didea fasciata

Description

Wing length 8.25 to 11 mm. The markings of English specimens of this species are usually orange. The presence of a yellow club on the halteres will readily distinguish fasciata from other Didea species. The scutellum has black spots at the front corners at the sides, but the black does not extend as a narrow round the hind edge of the scutellum.
