The Freewards Woodland Verge, Essendine

Selected Wild Place / Other Wild Places / Public Rights of Way / VC55 boundary

Getting There

The site is located to the southwest of Essendine. From the A1, exit into Great Casterton, and continue on Ryhall Road and the A6121/Stamford Road until the signposted turning to Uffingham (if you reach Essendine village you have gone too far). The site begins as the road straightens out after the left bend and continues until the end of the wood.

Limited parking on the verge may be possible halfway along and at the southern end of the site, but please be mindful of traffic and private land.
