Jenny Harris

We have been saddened to hear that Jenny Harris passed away on 13th October after a short illness. More...

Jenny was an expert in bat conservation and ecology and many people will remember her wonderfully entertaining and informative bat talks, often assisted by one of her many rescued bats. Jenny was also a Senior Reserves Officer at LRWT, looking after their reserves in Rutland and East Leicestershire until she retired, and then supporting the Trust as a volunteer. She was also a member of the Rutland Natural History Society, contributing many articles and bat reports for their newsletters. Her contribution towards nature conservation and natural history in Leicestershire and Rutland was exceptional, and she will be very much missed by everyone who knew her.
