Hybos culiciformis
Size 3.5 to 5.5 mm.
There are three British species of Hybos, all are similar though H. femoratus has red legs (except the rear pair which are black).
Hedgerows and woodland edge.
June to September.
Feeds on small insects.
Widely distributed in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
