Phanerotoma
The abdomen forms a rigid carapace derived from the fusion of the first three tergites (T1–T3), but unlike Chelonus spp, has two distinct, complete transverse sutures separating T1, T2, and T3. Adults have 23 antennal segments. Forewing venation is characteristic. The mandibles have unequal lower teeth.
