Wymeswold is situated at the northern boundary of Leicestershire, mid-way between the cities of Nottingham and Leicester, and lies within the Charnwood District.
The River Mantle runs through the village providing aquatic habitat for Frogs, Toads, small Fish and Kingfishers can sometimes be seen.
